Hi, I'm Andrew

Born and raised in metro-Detroit, I grew up immersed in a hustle culture where people transform their vision into reality through community and determination—from the automobile industry, launching small businesses, or cultivating urban farms. This environment shaped how I think about impact and inspired my commitment to leaving the world better than I found it.

This environment shaped how I think about impact and inspired my commitment to leaving the world better than I found it.

I focus on digital product design across healthcare, biotech, and higher education, approaching each project by understanding what we're solving for, who we're targeting, why it matters, and what will create the most impact. For me, helping people means inventing new ways to accomplish things that are important to them—whether that's helping someone access critical health information to live longer and healthier, or enabling families to sign up for insurance coverage they need.

Most recently, I led the design team at Helix where we transformed complex genomic data into accessible and actionable insights to improve patient care.

Before heading into design, I empower teams to understand what we're solving for and why through rapid discovery. This keeps us on track to deliver value for both users and the business.

Balance critical product tradeoffs

through triads

Critical decisions should stray from being made in a silo. I encourage product, engineering, and design to collaborate from discovery to influence shared ownership and tighter feedback loops.

Build and scale experiences 

through a holistic lens

Whether 0-1 or iteration, I lead design for products through a systematic view where each element considers the broader user journey and product ecosystem.

Drive design decisions through a compass of data and laws of UX

I bring a combination of behavioral and attitudinal data into design decisions to help demystify assumptions and make sure we are moving forward with evidence rather than just intuition.

Lead teams with emotional intelligence to grow connection

I lead teams through active listening and aligning opportunities with their goals to create environments where designers feel empowered to contribute.
